My Little neighbor FRIENDS!!
While preparing for the wedding I walked to the mail and there was this FUN little note to lighten the Days load!Nothing like having a good fun moment!! Dayton came to the door when I was washing windows and said "Jan, ya know that food ya have that I like?? I said, Is is the same food that is Max's favorite?? He smiled and said YES! Isn't it nice that just an otter pop can make someones day! Dayton goes to his Grandma Karen's for a pre-school and he made it with Hailey's help and hers. Pretty cool huh?

End of the night.

Wedding Day!!
It is here...The Day Amanda and Chris tie the knot! The dinner went very well. Its been a very busy summer getting things fixed up.( We didn't really have much to fix up but Max worked hard, poured our driveway to his shop and we worked to get our garden and some flower beds brought up a notch.Bryce even got in to some good old fashioned table decor!!!He and Jeff Helmandollar helped us get chairs and table in. We had to run to the rehearsal and left Bryce to bake rolls and chicken cordon bleu while we went to Pick Max's tux up and on tothe rehearsal out at Wilhelm's. He did quite well and now we know he has oven cooking skills( grin) we will have to USE his talents . LOL Thanks Bryce for helping Dad and I accomplish our projects. Tammy and June, My good friends, showed up to rescue Bryce . I think we had about 40 -50 for dinner and it was a nice relaxed evening. ....More later with pics to follow!

Prospective Elder Shaffer
Bryce was presented today at a Stake Priesthood meeting to become an Elder. We are very proud of him.He has made a lot of good choices in his life and one of the greatest choices is the group of friends he has. I hope I can remember who Max told me was also presented today but all of them are Bryces friends and have been in this home with us.Aaron Brown, Riley Brown,Dallin Gunter...I will let Max edit this and add the names of the rest. Our lives are influenced by those we "HANG" with. We are glad he has had such a great batch of friends. The girls as well as boys. They have all been such backups for each other. Good friends keep you out of the mud bogs of life!

This is what happens when the man gets up too early in the morning.... He works and he is auditioning for his chance to be on CMT's singing BEE! I seriously just signed him up. He can remember the words to every song. He will be going September____2009
Gratitude!
It is two weeks until the big day for Chris and Amanda. My heart is full! It is soooo nice to have Happy EVENTS in our lives. This is a culmination of lots of preparation on lots of peoples part.These two kids have planned and orchestrated quite a bit of this wedding.Chris came to me and asked for some addresses. I handed him the address book and between he and Amanda they chose their guests. Lots of couples just say hey folks it yours to deal with. Chris has always been pretty self motivated and as a parent it is such a blessing to stand back and say whoa these two are a productive couple who are prepared to go out into the world......and they did! I haven't had to do much for either one of them.Max said one time how nice it was when we went to Henry's Lake and they were so much help.New home, New jobs, new puppy and now the world is theirs to be had. Great Memories to come!!! I am grateful for Amanda!! It is very nice to know that someone loves your son like I do.I think They both have made good choices in life!We have been very blessed and look forward to this wedding but even more their combined lives.

Downey Fair and Parade
We took JJ to the fair and Parade. He was a little hesitant at first about getting the candy but got the hang of it pretty quick. He loves the animals. He had a lot of fun and so did Grandpa and Grandma.

Wedding Video
The quilt has been taken to Sages Quilt Company to be machine quilted and I have started the process of making Amanda and Chris' a wedding video. Just going to load pics on and put it on a picture frame. It has been fun to sort through Chris's old pics and see Amanda as a child. This is one I am blackmailing Chris over. He could not stand to be dirty...Hmm he still doesn't like it.Kind of a clean freak!!Oh look out you two your kids are on their way grin!! Bea dn Eds video had 720 pics... don't think I will get that many this time... Fun fun fun to sort through these and remember those days...25 days until the wedding...
